Here we have one more film from the interiors of Tamil Nadu. Of late we have been seeing Kollywood spinning true tales from the rustic villages - from core of Tamil Nadu. With the smell of the soil and the lush green farms to the linguistic charm, many of the films pictured on villages have traveled overseas garnering fame. Think ‘Paruthiveeran’, ‘Aadukalam.’

‘Udumban’ sees S. Balan calling the shots and sees racer Dhilip Roger in the title role with Mollywood beauty Sana playing the female lead. The hero seems to have truly transformed to a villager for the film with rigorous practice for the stunts and songs. One very important aspect while shooting for a village subject is to get the diction or the slang of that particular area right.
